Tulip Stargazer

Engineering Specifications

The 'Stargazer' tulip belongs to the 'Triumph' class, which dictates its architecture: a goblet-shaped bud with high petal rigidity. From a physiological standpoint, this enables the plant to maintain vertical stability despite its medium height, significantly reducing the risk of lodging whether grown in open fields or greenhouses.

Biochemical Defense and Resilience

The key advantage of this hybrid is its genetically programmed resistance to Fusarium. Under high humidity or fluctuating temperatures that typically trigger fungal infections, 'Stargazer' demonstrates minimal root system damage. This trait decreases the necessity for intensive fungicidal treatment of the planting material and stabilizes the yield of high-quality bulbs.

Growth and Visual Characteristics

• Coloration: A bi-color palette featuring a distinct contrast between red and white segments, ensuring a premium commercial appearance for cut flowers.
• Vegetation Cycle: The mid-season blooming period allows for efficient scheduling of production and sales.
• Stem Structure: Medium height serves as the optimal parameter for standard packaging solutions and transport without the risk of bud deformation.

Technologically, the 'Stargazer' variety is optimized for professional cultivation, where predictability of bulb development and pigment purity are paramount. Its lack of tendency toward premature stem elongation makes it highly suitable for forcing under varying light conditions.
