Tulip Sedalia

Elegance of the Triumph class

The Sedalia tulip has firmly established its niche in professional and amateur floriculture as a classic representative of the Triumph group. Its popularity is driven not only by its aesthetics but also by its predictable performance during forcing. The variety features mid-season blooming, making it a perfect "middle ground" for spring compositions.

Appearance and agrotechnical features

Visually, the variety stands out for its delicate combination of white and pink shades, creating a soft gradient on the petals. The plant has a medium-height peduncle, making it resistant to lodging even in open-field conditions during windy weather. Key parameters:

• Color palette: soft pink with a white base.
• Height: medium, optimal for bouquets and flower bed landscaping.
• Classification: Triumph group — an ideal balance between cup size and stem strength.

Resistance in intensive cultivation

One of the reasons why Sedalia is chosen by both large greenhouse farms and landscape designers is its high level of resistance to pathogens. The breeding of this variety has achieved significant immunity against threats such as downy mildew, phomopsis, and phoma. It is worth noting its resistance to rust, a serious disease that can destroy the decorative value of plantings. This genetic defense significantly reduces the costs of fungicide treatment, making the variety suitable for environmentally responsible floriculture.

Market positioning

Today, Sedalia is regarded as a reliable workhorse for cut flowers. Due to its endurance and harmonious color, the flower maintains freshness in a vase for a long time, which is crucial for the retail segment. It does not require specific storage conditions and demonstrates excellent transportability, making it a sought-after variety among spring floristry suppliers.
