Tulip Red Ilse

Operational Performance: Cultivating 'Red Ilse'

For professional growers, the 'Red Ilse' tulip is synonymous with consistency. Belonging to the Triumph class, this variety is highly regarded for its predictable performance and structural integrity. The plant reaches a medium height, featuring sturdy stems that require minimal intervention or growth regulators, which simplifies maintenance protocols during the intensive forcing season.

Disease Resilience and Maintenance Costs

A significant operational advantage of 'Red Ilse' is its robust health profile. Minimizing fungal and viral risks is essential for commercial success. This hybrid offers proven resistance to:

• Fusarium wilt;
• Verticillium wilt;
• Tomato mosaic virus;
• Tomato spotted wilt virus.

Choosing this variety effectively reduces expenditure on fungicides and eliminates the risks associated with batch loss. For a grower, this translates to lower operational overheads and a high yield of marketable flowers without the need for constant intensive plant protection measures.

Flowering Quality and Marketability

As a mid-season bloomer, 'Red Ilse' maintains a distinct, vibrant red color that does not fade under standard retail conditions. The dense, cup-shaped flowers of the Triumph class ensure durability during post-harvest handling and transport. The variety is highly resilient to storage conditions, maintaining its high-quality aesthetic, which is a critical factor for maintaining wholesale and retail margins.
