Tulip Goudstuk

Reliability and Compactness in the Spring Garden

The Kaufmanniana tulip 'Goudstuk' is the choice for those who value predictability in floriculture. For the site operator, working with this variety is simplified: there is no need for staking or wind protection due to its low height. This makes it an ideal solution for the foreground of flower beds, rock gardens, or creating dense color accents.

Agronomic Advantages

• Immunity as a Foundation: The variety shows resistance to verticillium and fusarium wilt, which is critical when planting on soils where other bulbous plants have grown. Freedom from cladosporiosis and tomato mosaic virus eliminates the need for frequent fungicide applications.
• Flowering Dynamics: 'Goudstuk' is an early-blooming variety, allowing for vibrant color immediately after the snow melts.
• Visual Impact: The combination of red and lilac petal shades creates a deep contrast that retains its decorative appeal even on cloudy days.

Maintaining these plantings requires minimal effort: standard drainage preparation during planting is sufficient. Thanks to its high disease resistance, chemical input costs during the maintenance of this variety are significantly lower than when working with highly bred hybrids that require weekly monitoring. It is a reliable crop for those seeking a balance between aesthetics and ease of care.
