Atlantiko by Saatbau: Austrian Breeding Excellence

Austrian agricultural technology has long set the standard for high-performance corn hybrids. The Atlantiko hybrid by Saatbau is a prime example of this engineering, designed for farmers who require a versatile, high-yielding solution that performs consistently regardless of whether the target is grain or high-quality silage.

Key Technical Specifications

Atlantiko is a simple hybrid featuring flint-dent grain type. This specific kernel morphology is prized for its excellent dry-down capacity and high specific weight. With an FAO range of 390–420, it is classified as a medium-late hybrid, allowing it to fully capitalize on the growing season to produce both substantial grain yield and nutrient-dense biomass.

Management and Seeding Density

The strength of Atlantiko lies in its adaptability. It is engineered to perform across varying soil types and management intensities. To maximize the hybrid's genetic potential, Saatbau provides specific density recommendations:

• Low moisture/Extensive farming: 45,000–50,000 plants/ha.
• Standard production: 70,000–75,000 plants/ha.
• High-input/Irrigated conditions: 75,000–80,000 plants/ha.

The hybrid demonstrates significant tolerance to environmental stress, maintaining yield stability even during challenging summer months. By selecting Atlantiko, producers are opting for reliable European genetics backed by rigorous testing. It is a robust choice for operations that prioritize yield security and a dual-purpose capability for their corn acreage.
