Tomato Xilaide No1

Choosing a Reliable Pink Tomato: Insights on Xylad No. 1

Selecting the right hybrid for commercial greenhouses is all about balancing yield with predictable performance. The Xylad No. 1 hybrid from Nunhems is designed for growers who prioritize efficiency and durability. As an indeterminate variety, it shows vigorous growth, allowing you to optimize vertical greenhouse space. From an operational standpoint, the plants are manageable, requiring less time for pruning and shaping while maintaining a consistent structure throughout the season.

Disease Resistance and Fruit Quality

The primary concern for any professional grower is crop health. Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, Leaf mold (Cladosporium), and Tomato Mosaic Virus can devastate a yield in weeks. Xylad No. 1 acts as a robust solution here due to its strong genetic resistance to these pathogens. Reduced need for aggressive fungicide applications not only cuts down on input costs but also lowers the stress on the plants themselves.

• Fruit Size and Consistency: The average fruit weight consistently exceeds 200 grams, ensuring high marketability.
• Visual Appeal: A deep pink color and uniform round shape make these tomatoes highly attractive to consumers on the fresh produce market.
• Logistics: Unlike many softer pink varieties, Xylad No. 1 handles transportation remarkably well, minimizing losses from cracking or bruising during distribution.

Xylad No. 1 responds exceptionally well to proper nutrition and climate control. If your goal is to produce high-quality, large pink tomatoes that remain firm and healthy under professional conditions, this hybrid from Nunhems is a dependable choice that minimizes production risks and delivers a consistent, premium product.
