Gefest is a medium-early hybrid salad tomato, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and under plastic coverings. The plant is indeterminate, ensuring a prolonged fruiting period. The fruits have a flat-round shape, medium density, and slightly ribbed surface. Immature fruits are light green, while ripe ones take on a pink hue. The average fruit weight is 20-25 grams, and the yield in plastic greenhouses reaches 8.7 kg per square meter. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to a range of diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, fusarium, brown spot, as well as moderate resistance to leaf curl virus and root nematodes. Gefest is distinguished by high productivity and fruit quality, making it attractive for cultivation in private gardens and commercial greenhouses. Due to its resistance to major tomato diseases, this hybrid reduces the need for frequent application of chemical plant protection products, contributing to ecological safety and reducing maintenance costs. The fruits of the hybrid are suitable for fresh consumption and salad use, thanks to their appealing appearance and good taste. Additionally, under the name Gefest, a highly effective systemic herbicide based on isopropylamine salt of glyphosate is marketed. This product is designed to combat a broad spectrum of annual and perennial weeds, including grasses and broadleaf species such as bindweed, ragweed, and couch grass. The herbicide penetrates plant foliage, inhibiting the EPSPS enzyme, which leads to the death of the vegetative mass and root system of weeds. The product is used for cleaning cereal, soybean, and corn crops, as well as for treating areas before sowing the main crop or after harvest. It does not exert phytotoxic effects on the main crop when applied according to instructions and demonstrates high efficacy within three days after application.
