Tomato Rosa

Operational advantages of the 'Rosa' tomato

Choosing the 'Rosa' variety from the Ukrainian originator Iob Naan is a pragmatic decision for farmers focused on consistent yields. As a determinate variety, it simplifies field management significantly: there is no need for complex pruning or trellis systems. This design allows for higher plant density per hectare and reduces the labor hours required for maintenance throughout the growing season.

Harvesting and Logistics

With a yield potential of 130–160 tons per hectare, 'Rosa' is built for performance. The crop matures within 120–130 days, producing uniform, round red fruits weighing over 200 grams. For the operator, the most critical feature is the excellent transportability. The fruit maintains its structural integrity during long-distance transit, ensuring that the final product reaches the retail market in peak condition, which directly impacts profitability.

Disease Resistance and Efficiency

One of the primary operational headaches in tomato production is Verticillium wilt. 'Rosa' is genetically resistant to this pathogen, which serves as a biological safeguard for your crop. This resistance reduces the necessity for intensive fungicide schedules, lowering chemical expenditure and overall production costs per ton. 'Rosa' is an robust, stable option for open-field farming, capable of withstanding environmental stresses without sacrificing harvest quality.
