ROMANA

The Romana tomato variety is a determinate medium-ripening vegetable, primarily intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant features a compact size, reaching a height of 60 to 80 cm, which facilitates care and harvesting. The vegetation period lasts approximately 110-125 days, allowing for a stable harvest throughout the season. Plants form both simple and complex clusters, each bearing 7 to 12 fruits.

The fruits of the Romana tomato have an attractive oval or plum-like shape and a vibrant red color. The average fruit weight ranges from 65 to 100 grams, with some specimens weighing up to 200 grams. The flesh is characterized by high density and firmness, as well as increased sugar content, giving the fruits an exquisite flavor. Due to the dense structure of the fruits, they exhibit excellent storability and maintain their market appearance during prolonged transportation and storage.

The Romana variety is valued for its resistance to diseases such as verticillium wilt and fusarium, contributing to stable yields when agronomic requirements are met.
