Tomato Krasnobay is a medium-late indeterminate hybrid with a period from germination to fruiting of 115-120 days. The plant is tall, reaching over 2 meters in height and requires mandatory staking. For proper plant formation, it is recommended to grow it as a single stem, removing all suckers and pinching the growth tip at the end of the vegetative period, leaving 7-8 trusses on the plant. The first flower cluster forms above the 11th-12th leaf, subsequent ones every three leaves. To improve the quality of the harvest, flower clusters should be pinched, leaving no more than 4-5 flowers.
The fruits of tomato Krasnobay are large, flat-round in shape, weighing from 300 to 350 grams, sometimes up to 500 grams. They are distinguished by high uniformity both in clusters and on the plant, possessing aromatic, tender, and flavorful flesh. The hybrid is predominantly salad-type, ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for canning in pieces and preparing vegetable assortments.
The tomato plants are vigorous with strong foliage, contributing to high yields — up to 7.5-8 kg per square meter, and under optimal conditions, up to 40 kg per square meter. The hybrid is resistant to major diseases such as cladosporiosis, tobacco mosaic virus, and fusarium wilt, and also tolerates extreme weather conditions. Krasnobay is suitable for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and glasshouses, expanding its cultivation possibilities across various regions.
