The Olesha tomato is a medium-early Siberian selection variety, intended for cultivation in plastic covers and greenhouses. The plant reaches a height of 1.3 to 2 meters and forms strong clusters with 4–5 large, plum-shaped fruits. Tomato weight varies from 150 to 300 grams, and their bright orange-amber color is due to high carotene content, making the juice resemble apricot and especially beneficial for children's nutrition.
The fruits have a dense structure and sweet taste with a slight sweet note, making them suitable for fresh consumption, sauce preparation, and canning. Thanks to their high density and sugar content, the tomatoes store well and retain their flavor for a long time. The yield of this variety reaches 8–10 kg per square meter, indicating its high productivity.
Growing the Olesha tomato requires regular care, including watering and application of mineral fertilizers. The period from germination to harvest is approximately 101–130 days, allowing for medium-early harvest. The tall plant requires minimal space for seedlings, which is convenient with limited planting areas. The variety is also disease-resistant, simplifying care and increasing harvest reliability.
