Tomato Nasco-2000 is a medium-early determinate variety with a vegetative period from full emergence to fruit ripening of 100-110 days. The plant is compact, 70-80 cm tall, highly leafy with a strong stem and robust root system. Plants are characterized by high yield and concentrated fruit ripening, facilitating harvesting both mechanically and manually. Nasco-2000 adapts well to various growing conditions and positively responds to fertilizers and watering.
Tomato fruits have an elongated plum-like shape, smooth surface, and bright red color without green spot at the stem attachment. They are dense, meaty, uniform, weighing 90-100 grams. Dry matter content in the fruits is 5.0-6.0%, sugars 3.1-4.0%, ascorbic acid 19.1-21.6%, acidity – 0.47-0.54%. Due to these characteristics, the tomatoes are suitable for both fresh consumption and industrial processing into tomato juice and paste.
The variety exhibits high resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, Alternaria, and bacterial spot, ensuring stable yield and product quality. Nasco-2000 is widely used in mass production, grown both from seedlings and direct sowing in open ground. The optimal planting density is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to achieving yields of 100-120 tons per hectare. Thanks to the excellent marketability and transportability of the fruits, the variety is ideally suited for long-distance transportation.
