Tomato Virta F1

Consistent Yields Under Stress

Virta F1 from the Japanese breeding house Kitano Seeds is a choice for professional growers who prioritize reliability in open-field conditions. This determinate tomato is engineered for predictability: a 90–100 day maturity window allows for precise planning of harvest schedules and market supply.

Agronomic Resilience for Profitability

The core advantage of this hybrid is its ability to minimize risks associated with phytopathogens. By choosing Virta F1, agronomists receive an inherent “insurance policy” against the most devastating diseases that can compromise an entire harvest:

• Comprehensive protection against Verticillium and Fusarium wilt (races 1, 2).
• Strong tolerance to leaf curl and yellowing viruses.

This genetic defense reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions, which directly optimizes production costs and aligns with modern farming practices.

Market-Ready Quality

The 100–150 gram fruits feature a classic round shape and a vibrant red color, highly sought after by both retail chains and wholesale markets. Due to their dense structure, these tomatoes are exceptionally transportable, enduring long-distance shipping without loss of shelf appeal. With proper agronomic management, the yield potential reaches 70–100 tons per hectare, establishing Virta F1 as a key tool for maximizing profit per unit area.
