Tomato Mattinaro

Marketability and Logistics

The «Mattinaro» tomato, developed by Enza Zaden, is engineered to meet the rigorous standards of the modern fresh produce market. Officially registered in Ukraine in 2026, this hybrid is specifically designed for growers who prioritize shelf life and aesthetic consistency.

Usage and Post-Harvest Performance

• Fresh Market: The firm skin and dense flesh ensure that the fruit maintains its integrity during handling and retail display, significantly reducing the risk of cracking.
• Transportability: With excellent storage capabilities, «Mattinaro» is well-suited for long-distance logistics, ensuring that the produce reaches the consumer in premium condition.
• Culinary Application: Its balanced sugar-to-acid ratio and structural stability make it an excellent choice for fresh consumption, maintaining its shape perfectly when sliced for salads or platters.

Choosing «Mattinaro» means investing in a predictable harvest. The Enza Zaden breeding program ensures high uniformity across all fruits, which streamlines the sorting and packing process, ultimately reducing waste and maximizing profitability for commercial operations.
