Kimmeriyets is an early-maturing, low-growing determinate tomato variety with a plant height of 40 to 70 cm. The plant is bushy, grows vigorously, and does not require pinching, making it convenient for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground, as well as even in indoor conditions. From planting to fruit ripening, it takes approximately 104-108 days. The variety is characterized by high yield — up to 150 fruits per plant, and yield is already good even without watering, while with regular watering it nearly doubles.
Kimmeriyets fruits have a elongated, plum-shaped form, weighing 80-100 grams, bright red color without green spots near the stem. They are meaty, dense, yet soft and juicy, making them ideal for whole-fruit canning. Tomatoes do not crack, exhibit high transportability and excellent storage life. Dry matter content in the fruits is 5.5-6.0%, and sugars — 3.0-3.8%, ensuring excellent taste and suitability for making juices, ketchups, sauces, and tomato paste.
The Kimmeriyets variety is resistant to major diseases that commonly affect other tomatoes, significantly simplifying plant care. It is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, especially in steppes and forest-steppe zones. Due to its high yield, transportability, and suitability for mechanized harvesting using a combine, this variety is suitable both for private farms and industrial cultivation.
