Tomato Klad F1 is an ultra-early indeterminate hybrid of red tall tomato developed by Spark Seeds (USA) for year-round cultivation in glass and plastic greenhouses. The ripening period is approximately 95 days from the first seedlings to the start of fruiting. The plant is strong, compact, and well-leafed, which promotes short internodes and high yield. Each cluster produces 5–6 marketable fruits, with an average weight ranging from 180 to 220 grams. The fruits have a round shape, deep red color without green spots, dense and sugary flesh, making them very tasty and aromatic.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases of protected cultivation, including verticillium and fusarium wilt, root rot, powdery mildew, tomato mosaic virus, cladosporeiosis, nematodes, and bronze virus. Additionally, Tomato Klad F1 tolerates high temperatures, is cold-resistant and drought-tolerant, expanding its cultivation possibilities across various climatic conditions. Thanks to its dense fruit structure and resistance to damage, the hybrid has excellent transportability and retains its marketable and flavor qualities for up to 20 days after harvest.
Tomato Klad F1 is grown using the seedling method: seeds are sown in trays or boxes beforehand, followed by transplanting, and final transplanting to the permanent location is conducted before flowering. This approach ensures optimal plant development and high yield. The fruits of Tomato Klad F1 not only have an attractive appearance and excellent taste but also suit long-term market sales, making this hybrid popular among professional growers and home gardeners.
