The tomato variety Illusion is a unique mid-season, tall determinate variety with a maturation period of 70-80 days. Plants reach a height of 150-180 cm and have standard foliage. The first flower cluster forms above the ninth leaf, then at intervals of every three leaves. The plant belongs to the indeterminate growth type, ensuring prolonged fruiting.
The fruits of the Illusion tomato are distinguished by their unusual shape and structure: they are cube-shaped, ribbed, light-yellow with possible pinkish blush, resembling the sweet pepper variety 'Gogoshary' in appearance. The weight of the fruits ranges from 100 to 150 grams, with a diameter of about 8 cm. A distinctive feature is that the fruits are completely hollow inside, with a dense skin and flesh that produces a crisp sound when pressed. They contain few seeds and no juice, making them ideal for stuffing.
Thanks to their dense walls, Illusion tomatoes retain their shape under any thermal processing, including stewing, baking, and canning. They do not crack and are suitable for freezing. Meanwhile, the flavor of the fruits remains balanced, with a pleasant sweet-sour note and aroma. In addition to being used in culinary applications for stuffing with meat, rice, vegetables, cottage cheese, or cheese, these tomatoes are also excellent for fresh consumption, for example, in salads.
