GREAT SOLDIER

The tomato 'Great Soldier' is an early-maturing Siberian selection variety, characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 108-110 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is strong and indeterminate, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters, requiring mandatory support and regular pinching to form 1-2 stems. The optimal plant density is three plants per square meter, and forming the bush by leaving 4-5 flowers per cluster promotes larger fruit size and overall yield. The tomatoes 'Great Soldier' have a flat-round shape with slight ribbing near the stem, colored in a rich maroon with a glossy surface. The weight of one tomato ranges from 250-300 grams to 500 grams under proper fruit set. The flesh is tender, juicy, pinkish, with high sugar content and no acidity, making these tomatoes exceptionally tasty and ideal for fresh salads. The fruits are not prone to cracking and can be stored for a long time after harvest, which is a key advantage for commercial cultivation and home use. The variety is well-adapted to cultivation in various conditions — open ground, greenhouses, and polytunnels, making it versatile for different regions, including northern latitudes. Plants are resistant to low temperatures and are practically immune to diseases, simplifying care and increasing yield stability.
