Tomato Fizuma F1 is a mid-early, indeterminate hybrid of Dutch selection, developed by Enza Zaden. The plant is semi-open type with medium-length internodes and slightly hanging leaves. Inflorescences develop quickly, each bearing 3 to 7 fruits. The peduncle has a joint, facilitating harvest. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in heated professional greenhouses, especially under extended turnover conditions in winter glasshouses with low crop density. Fruits of tomato Fizuma have a flat-round shape with slight ribbing and a deep red color when ripe. Average fruit weight varies from 118 to 220 grams depending on the number of fruits per cluster, with fruits being firm and meaty. Seed chambers in the fruits range from 4 to 6. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity with a commercial yield of 98-99%, excellent storability and transportability, making it attractive for commercial cultivation and marketing. Fizuma F1 exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus (three strains), five races of Cladosporium, Fusarium wilt, Verticillium, and Fusarium tip and root rot. Additionally, the hybrid is moderately resistant to powdery mildew. The plant is well-balanced, stably produces fruit without skips, and can withstand stressful conditions, including reduced light, where good fruit set is maintained. These characteristics make tomato Fizuma F1 a reliable choice for professional greenhouse operations.
