Cucumber Atomic F1

Stable yields in open-field conditions

The bee-pollinated hybrid "Atomic F1" from Bejo breeders is the choice for growers who prioritize reliability and the classic taste of gherkins. In open-field conditions, where cucumbers face daily temperature fluctuations and disease pressure, this hybrid shows impressive resilience.

Why choose Atomic F1?

• Comprehensive immunity: The hybrid possesses high resistance to downy mildew and cucumber mosaic virus. This is critical for professional cultivation, where protection against target spot and olive spot directly determines season profitability.
• Harvesting technology: The heavily warted, rich green fruits resist overgrowth, maintaining their marketability even if harvesting is slightly delayed. A firm structure makes them perfect for canning and pickling.
• Early maturity: The first harvest is ready just 45–50 days after emergence, allowing for efficient sales scheduling.

"Atomic F1" is a classic example of Dutch breeding designed for open areas. It does not require specific greenhouse conditions and performs excellently against natural challenges, such as powdery mildew or leaf spot. It is ideal for farmers focusing on the fresh market and the pickling segment, where crisp, firm, and hollow-free cucumbers are highly valued.
