Tomato Emir

Reliable Yields with Large-Fruited Tomatoes

"Emir" by the brand "Sedek" is a top choice for growers who prioritize predictability and market appeal. In the category of indeterminate tomatoes, this variety stands out due to its inherent "immunity" against several common pathogens, making it a robust performer in both greenhouse and open-field conditions.

Strengths: Protection and Marketability

The core advantage of "Emir" is its high resistance to diseases. Sedek breeders have successfully integrated genetic resistance against Tomato Mosaic Virus, Fusarium, and Cladosporium. This significantly reduces the burden on farmers by minimizing the need for intensive chemical interventions.

• Fruit Size and Form: With a weight exceeding 200 grams and a classic cuboid or flat-round shape, these fruits are the industry standard for commercial sales. They are firm, dense, and handle long-distance transport remarkably well without bruising.
• Maturation Period: Taking 100–120 days to mature, this variety is classified as mid-season, ensuring a consistent yield throughout the main production window.

Who is this variety for?

"Emir" is perfectly suited for commercial farming operations and advanced gardeners who supply the fresh produce market. If you are looking for a tomato that won't lose quality in a shipping crate and consistently produces large, fleshy red fruits, this variety is an essential tool. As an indeterminate plant, it requires staking and pruning, but the reward—a bountiful harvest of high-quality produce—more than justifies the effort.
