Tomato Elegant

Reliability and classic appeal in the tomato segment

The «Izyashchny» tomato from the Agro-firm "Poisk" is the result of selective breeding by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, aimed at creating a robust variety for farms focused on consistent, high-quality yields. In commercial vegetable production, where every hectare demands predictability, this variety occupies a niche of stable, semi-determinate crops with high adaptability.

Agronomic potential

The main strength of «Izyashchny» lies in its comprehensive resistance profile. In environments with high disease pressure, the variety demonstrates significant immunity to Fusarium wilt and Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), which significantly simplifies plant protection protocols. Professional agronomists value its resilience against Cladosporium leaf mold and powdery mildew, which is critical for greenhouse and high-tunnel cultivation.

• Growth type: Semi-determinate. This provides an optimal balance between vegetative mass and fruit load, simplifying canopy management.
• Maturation time: Early-maturing segment (90–100 days), allowing producers to hit the market during peak demand windows.
• Yield: With proper agronomy and a planting density of 35,000–40,000 plants per hectare, the variety achieves yields ranging from 70 to 100 tons per hectare.

Market quality and logistics

The fruit of the «Izyashchny» variety is noted for its uniformity, which is a key requirement for the retail sector. Its rounded, occasionally cylindrical shape combined with an intense red color makes it highly appealing to consumers. A major market advantage is its excellent transportability: the fruits maintain firmness during long-distance shipping, minimizing losses during supply chain distribution. Fruit weight ranges from 80 to 200 grams, making the variety versatile enough for both fresh market sales and processing applications.
