Tomato Negroni is a tall, early-maturing hybrid intended for cultivation in protected soil. The ripening period is 90–95 days from seedlings to the start of fruiting. Plants are indeterminate, with high leafiness and internode length of about 6 cm. Leaves are green, doubly-pinnate, and semi-amplexicaul, which facilitates good ventilation and fruit illumination. For optimal growth and yield formation, plants require staking and pruning.
Tomato Negroni fruits have a round shape and weigh between 15 to 38 grams, forming 2–3 chambers. The fruit skin is sufficiently dense and rough, with a wall thickness of about 3 mm, providing resistance to cracking. Immature fruits are dark green, while ripe fruits turn brown, giving them an unusual and attractive appearance. The flesh is sweet with excellent flavor, which has received high ratings for taste qualities.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 16.4 kg per square meter. It exhibits resistance to diseases such as tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), verticillium wilt, and fusarium, as well as high tolerance to late blight. These features make Tomato Negroni a reliable choice for gardeners and farmers seeking high-quality and stable yields.
