Tomato SUMMER BALL

Tomato 'Summer Ball' is an early-maturing indeterminate cocktail-type hybrid, characterized by high yield and versatility in use. From germination to the start of fruiting, it takes 85-90 days, enabling early harvest. The plant is generative, with shortened internodes and weak leafiness, forming 1-2 stems, which facilitates care and increases productivity. The first flower cluster forms above the 7th-8th leaf, and subsequent clusters form every two leaves, ensuring stable and uniform fruiting. The fruits of tomato 'Summer Ball' have an inverted egg-shaped form, smooth surface, and weigh between 40 to 60 grams. At biological maturity, they turn red-magenta and possess a very sweet flavor with juicy, meaty flesh. The fruit skin is smooth and thin, making them especially pleasant to eat fresh. Due to their dense structure, the fruits are resistant to cracking and splitting, allowing for harvest in whole clusters. Clusters are compound, containing an average of 8-12 aligned fruits, which simplifies harvesting and enhances the market appearance of the crop. Hybrid 'Summer Ball' exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, alternaria, bacterial spot, fusarium wilt, and cladosporiosis. This makes it a reliable choice for cultivation both in open ground and protected environments. Recommended planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter, allowing for yields of up to 15 kg per square meter in open ground and around 20 kg in greenhouses. Thanks to its flavor qualities, high productivity, and disease resistance, tomato 'Summer Ball' is an excellent choice for gardeners aiming to obtain a high-quality and tasty harvest.
