Description CHUDO ALTAY
Tomato Chudo Altay is a medium-maturing determinate variety developed by breeders of the Agrofirm 'Semen Altaya' specifically for cultivation in open fields and greenhouses. Plants reach a height of up to 1.6 meters and are characterized by high yield — up to 10-15 kg per square meter or about 4 kg per plant. The plants have good immunity and resistance to adverse conditions, making the variety suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Siberia.

The fruits of tomato Chudo Altay are large, juicy, and succulent, weighing from 180 to 350 grams, with the first truss reaching up to 500 grams. They have a rich red color and a pleasant taste with a slight acidity. Tomatoes ripen in waves, allowing for gradual harvest throughout the season. Due to their taste qualities, the fruits are excellent for fresh consumption, especially in salads, as well as for making juices, ketchups, and canning. Unripe fruits can be ripened off the plant, which facilitates harvest.

Growing tomato Chudo Altay begins with sowing seeds in March into slightly compacted soil, followed by mulching with peat or soil layer. For germination, seeds are watered with warm water and covered with plastic film, maintaining a temperature around 25°C. After seedlings emerge, the film is removed, and seedlings are placed in a bright location with gradual temperature reduction to 15-16°C, then raised to 20-22°C. At the 1-2 true leaf stage, seedlings are thinned, and at the 8-9 leaf stage, they are transplanted into the ground with spacing of 40x40 cm. It is recommended to form plants into 3-4 stems or leave them unpruned. Potassium fertilizers are applied during the fruit-setting period to improve fruit quality. Plant care is simple and includes regular fertilization and timely harvest.
