Tomato CEFEYA

High-Yielding Large-Fruited Selection for Greenhouses

The «Tsefea» tomato is an indeterminate variety engineered for high-performance greenhouse cultivation. Its vertical growth habit makes it a logical choice for growers focusing on trellis systems, allowing for optimal space utilization and simplified harvesting operations.

Agricultural Application and Scenarios

With a maturation cycle of 120–130 days, «Tsefea» is positioned as a mid-to-late season performer. The primary goal of selecting this variety is to achieve consistent, large-caliber fruits (exceeding 200 grams) that meet commercial quality standards. The cylindrical shape and dense fruit structure make it highly suitable for two main operations:

• Fresh Market Supply: The fruit maintains its structural integrity during storage and logistics, making it a reliable choice for long-distance shipping and supermarket retail.
• Processing: Its uniform shape and weight are ideal for production lines, specifically for canning and the manufacturing of high-quality tomato pastes.

Successful cultivation requires diligent pruning and cluster management to ensure fruit size. Given its indeterminate nature, the crop responds well to drip irrigation and consistent fertilization schedules, which are essential for maintaining the vigor required to support heavy cylindrical fruits throughout the long harvesting season.
