Tomato COSMOPOLIT

Genetics and Plant Architecture

The "Kosmopolit" tomato from the breeding company Greenomica is an indeterminate hybrid designed for intensive cultivation. Due to its unlimited growth pattern, the plant requires single-stem training and timely pruning, which optimizes photosynthetic area and channels resources directly toward fruit development. The genetic architecture of this variety ensures uniform truss formation even under temperature fluctuations typical of Russian climatic zones.

Technical Specifications and Logistics

The core engineering challenge addressed in the "Kosmopolit" variety is the synergy between fruit size and shelf life. With a weight exceeding 200 grams, typical of the beef tomato segment, the hybrid demonstrates exceptional tissue density for such a size. The round shape facilitates optimal pressure distribution within crates during stacking.

• Color Profile: Intense brown (chocolate), indicating high levels of anthocyanins and lycopene.
• Vegetation Period: Up to 90 days, classifying it as an early-maturing variety with accelerated metabolism.
• Storage: Over 30 days under controlled conditions without loss of marketability.
• Transportability: High skin density minimizes micro-damage during long-distance logistics.

The practical value of "Kosmopolit" lies in its suitability for retail chains with long delivery routes. Its unique brown color establishes it as a premium shelf product, while the ability to maintain structure for over a month post-harvest allows agricultural enterprises to mitigate the risks of product losses during sales delays.
