Tomato Cedrico RZ F1

Consistent Yields in Any Environment: Why Professionals Choose Cedrico RC F1

For growers focused on the fresh produce market, selecting a hybrid is always about balancing productivity with plant resilience. Cedrico RC F1 from the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan is a classic indeterminate tomato designed for those who refuse to leave plant health and logistics to chance.

Agronomic Foundation

The core strength of this hybrid lies in its powerful genetic defense. In greenhouse conditions, where pathogens spread rapidly, resistance to Verticillium, Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1), and Tomato Mosaic Virus becomes the deciding factor. This resistance helps reduce the need for excessive fungicide applications, directly lowering your cost of production.

Fruit Characteristics: The Quality Standard

• Weight: 100–150 grams — the ideal size for retail packaging and supermarket shelves.
• Geometry: A uniform round shape with a firm structure (3-4 locules) that ensures excellent shelf life.
• Transportability: The fruits handle shipping exceptionally well, maintaining their market-ready appearance after transit.
• Maturity: 90–100 days from transplanting — a predictable harvest window that simplifies scheduling.

Cedrico RC F1 is forgiving of minor agronomic errors but performs at its peak with proper fertilization and consistent irrigation. Its standout feature is its durability under stress; where temperature fluctuations might trigger outbreaks of Cladosporium in weaker varieties, Cedrico RC F1 holds its ground.

Who is Cedrico RC F1 for?

This hybrid is a reliable workhorse for greenhouse operations that prioritize volume and consistency. It may not offer an exotic look, but it delivers a uniform, high-quality yield of deep red tomatoes every single time. If your primary goal is to minimize logistical waste and ensure peace of mind with every plant, Cedrico RC F1 is a low-risk, high-reward choice.
