Tomato Caprese is an early-maturing and high-yielding variety with a long fruiting period. The plant is strong, with indeterminate vines reaching 120 to 160 cm in height, forming clusters of 5 fruits. Fruits are plum-shaped, 5–7 cm long and weighing 90–120 grams, making them easy to slice and suitable for various dishes. Fruit color is vibrant orange with a golden hue, and green shoulders turn orange as they ripen.
The flesh is fine-grained, dense, and has a delicate honey-like flavor with a pleasant citrus aroma. This variety is exceptionally sweet, surpassing the flavor of typical plum tomatoes. Due to its flavor qualities, Caprese is ideal for making salads, especially the classic Caprese salad, as well as for sauces and pasta, adding lightness and delicacy. The fruits release a juicy orange juice, enhancing the taste experience.
The variety is disease-resistant and easy to grow; it is recommended to train plants into four stems for optimal fruiting. Ripening occurs approximately 75 days after transplanting, allowing for a stable and abundant harvest. Caprese will be an excellent choice for lovers of sweet, aromatic tomatoes with an original appearance and versatile culinary applications.
