Tomato Oranzh Plam

Professional choice: Orange Plum tomato by Spark Seeds

In today's seed market, hybrids that combine commercial appeal with high resistance to common field threats hold a special place. The Orange Plum tomato from the Ukrainian originator "Spark Seeds" is a prime example of the plum tomato segment, designed for early and consistent crop yields.

Agronomic Profile and Resistance

The breeding efforts of the Spark Seeds team focused on creating a plant capable of withstanding critical diseases that often compromise farmers' efforts. Orange Plum demonstrates strong resistance to fusarium wilt and various viral mosaic pathogens. This trait allows for a significant reduction in pesticide use, which is particularly relevant for ecologically sustainable farming.

• Ripening cycle: up to 90 days, classifying it as an early-maturing hybrid.
• Fruit morphology: clean plum shape weighing 80–100 grams, perfect for commercial packaging.
• Transportability: firm skin and flesh structure allow for long-distance shipping without loss of market quality.

Market Positioning

An interesting feature of this variety is its plant type plasticity. Depending on growing conditions and pruning techniques, it displays traits of both determinate and indeterminate plant habits. This makes Orange Plum a versatile tool, suitable for both compact greenhouse setups and open-field cultivation. The vibrant orange color makes the fruit stand out on the shelf, attracting consumers with its high carotenoid content and pleasant flavor profile.
