Cucumber LM-20-205A is intended for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling. It is an early-maturing variety with a ripening period of 40-44 days, forming large, ribbed green gherkins without bitterness. The fruit length-to-thickness ratio is approximately 3:1, making it convenient for various preparation and storage methods. Cultivation is possible both by seedling and direct sowing into open ground. For seedlings, seeds are sown in April at a depth of 1.5-2.0 cm at a temperature of 25°C, then after emergence the temperature is reduced to 15°C. Seedling transplanting into the soil is carried out after the threat of frost, while direct sowing into open ground is possible when the soil temperature reaches 14-15°C, typically in late May to early June. Recommended planting scheme — 70-90x30 cm.
The variety is characterized by high yield and disease resistance, ensuring a stable harvest of fruits throughout the season. Cucumbers retain their shape and size even under adverse weather conditions, making them a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones. Due to its characteristics, LM-20-205A is suitable for both early and late sowings.
The fruits have a pleasant fresh taste, crisp texture, and mild aroma, making them an excellent choice for salads and other dishes. The absence of bitterness and convenient size of gherkins allow this variety to be used for pickling and canning while preserving the high quality and flavor properties of the vegetables.
