Tomato Bochonok

Technical Profile of the "Bochonok" Tomato

The "Bochonok" variety, developed by Agrofirma Aelita (originators N.V. Nastenko, V.G. Kachaynik, A.V. Kandoba), is a mid-season tomato designed for balanced yield geometry and large fruit size. With a vegetation period of 100–120 days, the plant is optimized for efficient development in temperate climatic zones.

Fruit Morphology and Commercial Qualities

• Weight and Geometry: The fruit shape ranges from oblate to cylindrical. With an average fruit mass exceeding 200 grams, the variety provides a high output of marketable produce.
• Pigmentation: The distinct yellow color of both skin and flesh signifies a unique carotenoid profile, making it a viable option for specialized dietary markets.
• Transportability: The dense flesh structure and robust skin significantly reduce mechanical damage during logistics, ensuring freshness and aesthetic appeal for 5-7 days post-harvest.

These seeds from Agrofirma Aelita are the result of selection focused on stability against temperature fluctuations. The "Bochonok" variety is highly applicable for both greenhouse and open-field cultivation (depending on the region). Due to its excellent transportability, it serves as a rational choice for commercial growers focusing on supplying fresh markets with high-quality, large-fruited produce.
