Description Berkut
Tomato Berkut is a determinate mid-season hybrid characterized by vigorous growth and good adaptability to various growing conditions. The plant reaches a height of about 50-60 cm, has dark green, drooping leaves. The first flower cluster forms above the 7th-8th leaf, and subsequent clusters appear every 1-2 leaves. The flower clusters are simple and intermediate in type, bearing 5-6 fruits each. The fruits are flat-round in shape with an index of 0.8-0.9, weighing up to 350 g, dense and transportable, resistant to cracking. In technical maturity, they are green without spots, and in biological maturity, they are deep red. The fruit flesh is fleshy, slightly ribbed, and low-seeded, making them versatile for various uses.

The Berkut hybrid exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, fusarium wilt, and cladosporiosis, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield. The crop requires warmth and prefers fertile, well-cultivated soils. For cultivation, seeds are sown in seedlings at the end of March to early April, and pinched when they have 1-2 true leaves. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground at 55-70 days after the threat of frost has passed, with a planting scheme of 50×40 cm. During the vegetative period, timely weeding, pinching, watering, and 2-3 feedings are required to ensure full plant development.

Tomato Berkut is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments. Thanks to its qualities, the fruits are well preserved and transportable, making this hybrid attractive for fresh market sales and processing. High taste evaluation and universal use allow tomatoes to be used both for fresh consumption and for preparing various dishes. The compact plant size simplifies care and harvesting, while disease resistance reduces the risk of losses and enhances production stability.
