Description
Amber Fish is a medium-maturing indeterminate tomato variety suitable for cultivation both in open fields and in protected soil. The plant requires staking and pruning, forming compact clusters with 6-8 fruits of elongated-oval or elliptical shape, weighing 90-100 g. Fruits have a golden-orange color, which may vary depending on growing conditions, and possess medium density with a slightly ribbed structure. The fruit peduncle is equipped with a joint, and the number of locules in the fruits is two. Leaves are of medium length and dark green color, inflorescences are intermediate.
The period from germination to the beginning of ripening is 110-120 days, although under certain conditions, ripening may begin as early as 85-90 days. The variety has high yield: in polyethylene greenhouses, it reaches 12.8-14.1 kg per square meter, and total yield may reach 22 kg per square meter. The variety is characterized by excellent fruit set even under stressful conditions, resistance to alternaria and tomato mosaic virus (TMV).
Fruits of the Amber Fish variety have high dry matter content and low-allergenic antioxidants — carotene and xanthophyll — making them especially valuable for preventing cardiovascular and oncological diseases. Low acidity and high beta-carotene content (up to 3.5 mg per 100 g of raw material) make this variety ideal for dietary nutrition. Tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, and preservation.
