Sugar corn variety Alina is a medium-late maturing variety with a maturity period of 80-85 days from germination to harvest. Plants reach a height of 162 to 200 cm, and the lower cob forms at a height of about 65 cm. The cobs have a weakly conical shape, about 20 cm in length, and contain 16-18 rows of grains. The weight of one cob varies from 160 to 180 g, and the grains are colored bright yellow, have a sweet taste and a tender texture. The Alina variety is characterized by high yield and drought resistance, which makes it universal and convenient for growing in various climatic conditions. The yield of conditioned commercial cobs can reach 1.5 kg per square meter. Thanks to its qualities, corn is suitable for consumption in freshly boiled form, as well as for canning and freezing, while the grains retain high taste qualities and nutritional value.
