ANNA S is a mid-early simple hybrid of sweet corn (Zea mays L. convar. saccharata Korn.), developed and registered by FGBNU "National Grain Center named after P.P. Lukyanenko". The culture differs in medium plant height and early-mid ear flowering time, ensuring optimal maturity dates and allowing cultivation in various regions. The hybrid is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation and recommended for growing in all regions of the country.
The corn cob is cylindrical in shape, medium length, with a short stalk, which facilitates harvest collection and improves processing convenience. The number of grain rows is medium, and the grains themselves have a sweet type with a characteristic orange coloration of the upper and lower parts. Weak anthocyanin silk coloration gives the cob a neat appearance and indicates high hybrid quality.
ANNA S is suitable for cultivation both on an industrial scale and in household plots due to its adaptability and stable yield. The mid-early maturity period allows using the hybrid in various agro-climatic conditions, ensuring the production of a tasty and nutritious product with high sugar content in the grains.
