Rapeseed «Grace» – a spring variety with high productivity and maturity, which is perfect for mechanized harvesting. Yield of green mass reaches 17 t/ha, and oil content of seeds is about 49 %. Seeds weighing from 2.5 to 2.8 g per 1000 pieces and yellow in color with a slight admixture of brown ones (up to 2 %) ensure a total oil collection of around 8.86 c/ha. Plant height ranges between 110 cm and 135 cm, and pods 5–7 cm long contain seeds with a low level of glucosinolates (14‑15 µmol/g) and erucic acid in oil (0.35 %).
The variety is distinguished by drought resistance, alternaria and downy mildew resistance, as well as good adaptability to various climatic zones – from northern to far-eastern regions. Thanks to the medium-branched structure of bushes and moderate plant height, «Grace» ripens evenly, which facilitates harvest planning.
The benefit for agriculture lies in the combination of high seed and oil yield with low levels of undesirable compounds. This makes the variety attractive both for edible oil production and for use as a fodder crop when necessary. Thanks to its characteristics, «Grace» ensures stable income for farmers and high quality of the final product.
