Fennel AMIKANTE

Italian Premium Fennel: The Amicante Standard

Fennel "Amicante" by La Societa Delle Scienze Umane S.R.L is a premium horticultural product designed for growers who prioritize consistent, retail-ready quality. Unlike generic varieties, Amicante delivers a perfectly round head weighing between 400–600g, consistently meeting the specific size requirements of modern supermarket chains and high-end culinary establishments.

Key Advantages and Characteristics

• Superior Aesthetics: The brilliant white color and uniform spherical shape ensure high marketability and minimize retail losses.
• Flavor Profile: A delicate, naturally sweet taste without the harsh fibrous texture common in lower-grade fennel, making it versatile for both raw salads and cooked dishes.
• Genetic Consistency: Developed by La Societa Delle Scienze Umane S.R.L, this variety offers exceptional uniformity across the crop, simplifying the harvesting and sorting process.

Amicante is best suited for commercial growers who can provide steady irrigation and optimal field management. While it requires a bit more attention to detail than basic varieties, the payoff is in the harvest yield and the ability to command a higher price in the fresh market. For operations focusing on consistent quality over bulk quantity, this Italian hybrid is an essential asset.
