Turnip Rape Impulse

Field Application of 'Impuls' Wintercress

The 'Impuls' variety of wintercress (suropitsa), produced by Ooo Ovp Pokrovskoe, serves as a versatile agronomic tool. Developed in collaboration with leading research institutes, this variety is designed for farmers who need a flexible crop that balances commodity production with soil management strategies.

Oil Production Potential

With an oil content of 38–40%, 'Impuls' is a practical choice for producers focused on oilseed extraction. The plant’s moderate height (80–100 cm) is a significant technical advantage, as it drastically reduces the risk of lodging. This makes harvesting straightforward and minimizes yield loss. Sown early in the season (March–April), the crop takes full advantage of early spring soil moisture, which is essential for uniform emergence in variable climatic conditions.

Siderate and Soil Improvement

Beyond its oil yield, 'Impuls' is widely recognized for its efficacy as a green manure (siderate) crop. Its rapid biomass accumulation helps suppress weeds naturally, reducing the need for chemical intervention. Furthermore, the root system of this wintercress variety helps break up compacted soil layers, improving aeration and water infiltration, which prepares the field perfectly for subsequent crops in the rotation.

• Reduced Chemical Dependency: High competition against weeds lowers the necessity for herbicide applications.
• Organic Matter Enrichment: Provides an efficient way to return organic matter to the soil within a short growing cycle.
• Harvesting Efficiency: Compact growth habit ensures full compatibility with standard harvesting machinery.

Choosing 'Impuls' from Ooo Ovp Pokrovskoe is a strategic decision for farms prioritizing sustainable land use, ensuring healthy, well-structured soil while producing a valuable industrial raw material.
