Sunflower ZKS PRERIA

Sunflower ZKS PRERIA is a mid-early linoleic hybrid with high resistance to various diseases and adverse conditions. Plants reach a height of 145 to 200 cm, have large heads with a diameter of 20–22 cm and a 1000-seed weight of 60–65 g. Seeds are black with distinctly marked gray marginal stripes, characteristic of this variety. Seed oil content ranges from 48 to 51%, ensuring a high oil yield upon processing.

The hybrid exhibits resistance to tribenuron-methyl and herbicides of the LMR group, as well as tolerance to diseases such as phomopsis, phomosis, sclerotinia, false powdery mildew, verticillium wilt, and rust. Additionally, ZKS PRERIA is resistant to 5–7 races of downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The plant has medium-sized leaves with moderate rugosity, slightly concave and semi-downward-facing heads, and a straight stem.

Recommended planting density depends on growing conditions: in adequately moist zones, the optimal rate is 55–60 thousand seeds per hectare, while in dry conditions — 50–55 thousand seeds per hectare. The vegetative period is approximately 110–112 days. The hybrid demonstrates high responsiveness to agrofactors, allowing for high yield potential up to 45 centners per hectare. ZKS PRERIA is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including dry areas, and is intended for producing high-quality oilseed with high oil content.
