Sunflower BT 2316

Stable yields with minimal risks

French breeding by RAGT has long been synonymous with high-tech performance, and the BT 2316 sunflower hybrid is a prime example of how European quality adapts to intensive farming. The main advantage of this hybrid is its combination of early maturity (108–112 days) and high oil content, allowing farmers to confidently plan harvest schedules and deliver high-quality raw materials for processing.

Technological potential and resistance

BT 2316 is aimed at farms practicing the Clearfield technology. This provides an opportunity to effectively control weeds in the field without risking crop inhibition. Genetic protection against a complex of diseases — downy mildew (peronosporosis), phomopsis, and phoma — reduces the need for fungicide applications, thereby optimizing cost per hectare.

• Oil content: 47–50% — an excellent result for a hybrid with such developmental pace.
• Hybrid type: simple, ensuring high uniformity of the crops.
• French genetics: the originator, Societe Ragt 2N S.A.S, implemented solutions focused on stability of performance even under stressful weather conditions.

Who is this hybrid for?

BT 2316 is the optimal choice for agronomists working in fields with high weed pressure. It is forgiving of early-season mistakes thanks to herbicide compatibility and allows for the efficient use of a short growing window to achieve high oil yields. This is not just "another hybrid"; it is a workhorse tool for those seeking the perfect balance between predictability and profitability.
