V 04 is a high-oleic, mid-season sunflower hybrid developed for achieving high yield and stable growth under various climatic conditions. It belongs to the mid-intensity hybrids with a maturity period of 110–115 days and plant height ranging from 165 to 180 cm. Thanks to the Clearfield technology, V 04 provides effective weed and broadleaf weed control, which is especially important for arid regions. This hybrid is characterized by its adaptability and suitability for modern cultivation technologies, including no-till.
The hybrid exhibits high yield potential — from 32 to 60 centners per hectare — as well as high oil content in seeds, reaching 48–53%. The oil from V 04 seeds contains up to 90% oleic acid, making it particularly valuable for producing high-quality vegetable oil with improved consumer properties. The high content of oleic acid also contributes to increased oil resistance to oxidation.
V 04 possesses high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including white mold, fusarium, phomopsis, rust, as well as lodging and drought. These qualities ensure reliable and stable yields even under challenging agroclimatic conditions.
