Sunflower PS 177

Sunflower PS 177 is a large-seeded ultra-early variety for confectionery use, characterized by high productivity and economic efficiency. This variety has a 1000-seed mass of up to 150 grams at an optimal planting density of 25-30 thousand plants per hectare. The vegetation period is 80-88 days, allowing for harvest within a short timeframe. Plant height reaches approximately 209 cm, and oil content in seeds varies from 46 to 48%, ensuring high efficiency of seed utilization.

PS 177 seeds exhibit good adaptability to various climatic conditions and resistance to diseases, making them a reliable choice for cultivation in major sunflower zones. Although the variety is not resistant to downy mildew and excessive crowding, it demonstrates high seed yields up to 34 centners per hectare and contains 2-3% more protein than more oil-rich varieties. Additionally, seeds contain increased levels of tocopherols (vitamin E), enhancing their nutritional value.

A distinctive feature of sunflower PS 177 is its large and high-quality seeds, which easily detach, and the seed coat cracks upon heating, facilitating the extraction of conditioned kernels exceeding 70%. This makes the variety attractive for producers focused on obtaining high-quality products. Using PS 177 seeds can increase crop yields and agricultural profitability, ensuring stable and high-quality results.
