Sunflower TC 18

Stability in short-growing season conditions

The TS 18 sunflower variety from Ooo Npo Triumf is a selection product designed for farmers operating in regions with limited growing seasons. Its key advantage is the short vegetation period of 100–110 days. In high-risk farming zones where early autumn frosts can threaten the harvest, this development speed is a critical factor for ensuring economic security.

Key characteristics and potential

• High Oil Content: The oil content ranges from 50% to 55%, placing TS 18 on par with top-tier productive modern hybrids.
• Compact Architecture: With a plant height of 150–160 cm, the variety is perfectly suited for efficient mechanical harvesting. The stalks are resistant to lodging and do not produce excessive foliage, minimizing the strain on combine headers.
• Breeding Heritage: Developed by Alexander Ivanovich Nazarov and Dmitry Alexandrovich Nazarov, this variety focuses on performance consistency in fluctuating climates.

Who is this variety for?

TS 18 does not require an excessively long daylight period and adapts well to average soil types. It is an ideal choice for farms utilizing intensive crop rotation systems where rapid harvesting is essential to prepare fields for winter crops. It is the preferred choice for producers who value predictability over the management complexity often required by demanding foreign hybrids.

While the variety offers high oil output, it requires careful attention to plant density. Due to its moderate height, excessive seeding rates can lead to unnecessary competition for moisture. To maximize yield, it is recommended to strictly follow the sowing patterns provided by Ooo Npo Triumf to ensure each plant receives optimal resources.
