Sunflower Serpanok

Stability and oil content: why farmers choose Serpanok

The Serpanok sunflower variety, developed by the Institute of Oilseed Crops of the NAAS, is designed for farms seeking a balance between maturation speed and processing profitability. With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, this variety represents the mid-early group, serving as an effective tool for risk management during unpredictable summer seasons.

Practical application scenarios

• Harvest logistics optimization: The moderate vegetation period allows for precise planning of the harvest campaign, distributing the load on equipment before unfavorable weather conditions arrive.
• High processing yields: The main advantage of Serpanok is its high oil content, reaching 50–55%. For producers delivering to processing plants, this figure is decisive when calculating final revenue.
• Local climate adaptation: Ukrainian breeding ensures strong resilience to regional soil and climatic conditions, which minimizes plant stress caused by the sharp temperature fluctuations typical of the country's steppe and forest-steppe zones.

By choosing this variety, agronomists gain a predictable result. The lack of excessive requirements for intensive farming technology allows for flexibility in fertilizer and plant protection expenditure without critical productivity losses. Serpanok is suitable for both large agricultural holdings and small farms where stability in crop quality is paramount.
