Common sunflower TAXO FA — 69

Stability in Short Growing Seasons

TAXO FA — 69 holds a strong position in the early-maturing sunflower hybrid segment. With a growing season of 100–110 days, it is a strategic asset for farmers in regions prone to drought or with shorter summers. The primary advantage is its ability to reach physiological maturity before peak heatwaves, ensuring consistent yield when other varieties might suffer from heat stress.

Agronomic Profile

The plant height ranges from 150–160 cm. This balanced stature allows the hybrid to optimize sunlight exposure and water usage without putting excessive energy into stalk development. Key takeaways:

• Uniformity in development, which simplifies harvest logistics and minimizes grain losses.
• Adaptability to stressful environments, showing resilience when moisture is limited.
• Stable yield potential, supported by a sturdy stalk resistant to lodging under normal agricultural conditions.

Who Should Choose TAXO FA — 69?

This hybrid is designed for farmers who prioritize predictability over maximum theoretical potential. It is an excellent choice for those looking to clear their fields early for winter crop rotations. Unlike highly intensive, high-input hybrids, TAXO FA — 69 is less demanding of heavy fertilizer applications, making it a reliable 'workhorse' for farms with moderate technological intensity. While it may not outperform long-cycle hybrids on extremely fertile, high-input fields, it proves far more consistent and reliable in regions where weather patterns are volatile and rainfall is unpredictable.
