Sunflower STR 536

Focus on Ultra-Early Maturity and Stability

The French sunflower hybrid STR 536 from Lidea is a tailored solution for farmers working in regions with short growing seasons or those practicing double-cropping. Its main strength lies in an incredibly short vegetation cycle (80-90 days), allowing growers to harvest before their competitors, effectively escaping late-summer droughts or autumn waterlogging.

Biological Potential and Crop Health

Despite its compact stature (stem height of 100-110 cm), this hybrid shows high oil accumulation efficiency, consistently maintaining levels between 50-55%. STR 536 displays robust resistance to critical pathogens:

• Strong immunity against white and gray mold.
• Reliable protection against rust and powdery mildew.
• High tolerance to phomopsis and phoma, which is vital for achieving a high-quality, clean yield.

The medium-sized convex head shape ensures uniform seed maturation. The simplicity of this hybrid's genetic structure guarantees crop uniformity, significantly simplifying header adjustments during harvest.

Who is this hybrid for?

STR 536 is an ideal tool for farms seeking a "failsafe" crop option. It is the perfect choice if you need to clear your fields as quickly as possible, minimize disease risks through early maturity, or integrate sunflowers into intensive crop rotation schedules. This is a reliable workhorse that does not require overly complex agrotechnical management but consistently produces a high oil percentage even under challenging weather conditions.
