Sunflower R 5 HI 3 M

Reliable Sunflower Hybrid for Clearfield Systems

The Limagrain P 5 HI 3 M sunflower hybrid, developed in France, serves as a high-performance solution for farms utilizing the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system. This hybrid is specifically engineered to manage heavy weed pressure and broomrape infestations while maintaining robust crop development.

Key Agronomic Features and Field Performance:

• Vegetation Cycle: Spanning 120–130 days, this mid-maturity hybrid offers a balanced growth timeline. It provides enough time for canopy development while ensuring the crop reaches harvest maturity without being overly exposed to late-season environmental risks.
• Plant Architecture: Reaching a height of 140–150 cm, the plants are optimized for mechanical harvesting. This height profile reduces header losses and ensures that field equipment operates efficiently during the final stages of the season.
• Seed Quality: The black, spherical-elongated seeds are of medium size. Their uniformity ensures excellent flowability in modern precision planters, resulting in consistent plant spacing and optimal crop density.

The P 5 HI 3 M is particularly well-suited for fields where conventional weed control methods have become insufficient. By integrating this hybrid into your crop rotation, you leverage the strength of the Clearfield technology, allowing for targeted herbicide application that spares the sunflower while eliminating competition. It is a strategic choice for growers focusing on high-input, high-output precision farming where yield stability is a priority.
