Sunflower TRI 3948 R is a high-yielding linoleic hybrid designed for cultivation using Clearfield technology, which provides resistance to imidazolinone herbicides and enables effective control of various ragweed biotypes (A-E). The vegetative period is approximately 105 days, making this hybrid optimal for steppe and forest-steppe zones. Plants reach a height of about 180 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 22 cm with a downward-leaning position, facilitating harvest convenience and reducing losses due to shattering.

The hybrid exhibits high yield potential and drought resistance, which is especially important for regions with insufficient moisture. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on moisture conditions: 50-55 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 55-60 thousand seeds per hectare under adequate moisture. Oil content in the seeds reaches 51%, which is a high level and makes this sunflower attractive to the oil industry.

TRI 3948 R also possesses high resistance to shattering and pests such as sunflower moth, which contributes to maintaining the quality and quantity of the harvest.
