Sugar beet SI MARVIN

Consistency in the Field

Working with the «Si Marvin» sugar beet hybrid from DLF brings a sense of predictability to the growing season. As a professional, you quickly learn to appreciate a hybrid that produces uniform sprouts. This diploid hybrid, categorized as a Normal-Sugar (NZ) type, delivers consistent plant density, which is the cornerstone of a successful harvest. It performs reliably, allowing for efficient field management from sowing to deep cultivation.

Disease Resilience as a Cost-Saver

One of the standout features of Si Marvin is its genetic resilience. Managing Cercospora leaf spot and various root rots is usually a major headache, but this hybrid shows significant tolerance. By reducing the reliance on intensive fungicide programs, it lowers the cost of production while maintaining robust plant health. It is built to withstand pressure, meaning less time spent on emergency treatments and more focus on crop development.

Key Operational Advantages:

• High sugar accumulation potential characteristic of the NZ type.
• Excellent root uniformity, which makes mechanical harvesting significantly smoother.
• Danish breeding standards ensuring reliability under various environmental conditions.

From an operator's perspective, the uniform root size is a game-changer. It minimizes machine adjustment downtime during harvest and reduces root breakage during extraction. Whether you are aiming for high tonnage or peak sugar percentage, Si Marvin integrates perfectly into standard modern agricultural workflows, requiring no specialized, complex equipment to manage effectively.
